Founder
Writer Nahid Al-Shawa began writing and publishing for children in 2000, with the aim of providing her children with pleasant, entertaining, and purposeful books that were also beautiful and attractive. At the time, the writer could not find anything satisfactory in libraries to acquire for her children, so her first publication was the "Sabah's Tales" series, whose first edition sold out in less than a year. With God's grace and the encouragement of her readers, the writer continued to publish one series after another. After settling in Canada, she decided to establish "Toon Books" to be a publishing house that adopts her vision and publishes quality books, aiming to build the personality of a global child who is loving, good, creative, and humane. She aspires for "Toon Books": The Nahid Al-Shawa Cultural Foundation, to be a distinguished name in the world of children's literature publishing, enriching the Arab library with Arabic children's books of international standards.
